Posts

I have published a post and yet it is nowhere to be found, meditate on this I will.

I'll now recap, as I'm not able to recreate what once was. What I was referring to in my post about family was bad parenting, brought on by the civil rights movement. Ever since women started working we've seen a decline in childhood education and adult self-reliance. The problem is not the rights that women now bare, but the father's inability to pick up the slack. Unless there is only one parent, but that is a completely different problem altogether.

It's commonplace to see mothers as successful people i.e. business associates, leaders, doctors, food practitioners, lawyers, politicians, in other words those in high power that oversee life. But we don't see men doing what is needed in the home to compensate; men still seem to think it's the 50's where they can show up from "a long days work" and demand dinner. Many families are resorting to TV dinners, fast food or take-out, still wondering why the family doesn't get along, or their kids are messed up in some way.

Who do we blame? Of course we have to blame someone because even accidents have a guilty party and someone is always responsible for natural disasters, why not this? Is it the parents, the teachers or what about society, that's it, "they" did it, whoever "they" are, dang, I really hate "those guys" whoever they are... I'll tell you why we don't need to "blame" someone. Playing the blame game doesn't solve the problem, get on with your life and stop blaming everyone else, get off your ass, get a job, take the kids to soccer, make dinner, wash your clothes, do whatever needs to be done and stop waiting around; I almost forgot the most important thing, wake-the-fuck-up.

I think that was the jist of the post, although it may have been more thought provoking; it also had the image in the original, peculiar...

Here's an article that argues the opposite: Submission Needed for Healthy Marriage

Boston

Many folks who love Boston would say it's the best city in the world and who can blame them it's center to some of the most historic events in American history. Just recently it's sad to say that a new event has occurred during the Boston Marathon. Why does the news find it necessary to report things they have no knowledge of? While I like their enthusiasm, it seems to be misplaced at times. Most of the media sources I see people viewing or reading are purely there for entertainment purposes, I wouldn't even call it botched journalism.

The media is using their avenue as a podium to display their view of the world and use their influence to entice others to follow for the purpose of profit. It's amazing how well it works, and with the modern advancements in technology, we'd think people would be gaining intelligence, but what we're getting are increasingly dumber people and nonsensical children. When did we become such a place that I don't want to go outside because I hate everyone around me? I'm lost in the place I live in, it's as though I'm alone in my views and everyone closes in on me when I voice them.

I'm a federal employee and it hurts me to say so considering the outrage they continue to cause. It's no longer a decentralized managerial structure for America, it's more totalitarian every day. Does anyone see it this way? Sure they do, but they are unwilling to do anything about, I guess we just complain and move on. This my friends is called apathy, it's far too difficult to get away from this. We might have to lose a job or two, restructure our economy and possibly forfeit every penny in our pensions to do so. I think it's all worth it if everyone learns from it and pulls together to make the world a free place for our children. Cyprus did it, it's only a matter of knowing who's next, our current state of affairs is unsustainable.

We've already put a big enough burden on our children, do we really need to strangle them? When will the government decide that they know whether it's best that you live or die. Countries already do this and it would be no surprise if it was brought up in hearings in US Congress. There's only one way out of all of this, to fight for the republic we know it to be and impeach or oppose everything otherwise. It doesn't make you a terrorist, activist or conspiracy theorist if you are unhappy with the current state of your government. Sounds pretty simple doesn't it? Well it's not, and while I'd love for it to happen, there are too many people that actually agree with and follow everything the government intends.

People, it's our job to question what the government does, there is no government funded organization that regulates itself. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? I'm sure we've all heard the term "cooking the books," and that's exactly what they're doing, they can't fail.

Balance

I've heard of so many people that are intolerant to diary products, causing indigestion. While I've never doubted them I had never experienced it to such a great level that I have now. It's been quite some time since I've drank milk products and I'd have to say that it isn't a pleasant experience. While I already know what the supposed health benefits of cows' milk is, I have yet to see the evidence. It's more harming than good, there's too much trust involved with the consumption of animal products. It's not impossible to do the proper research of  quality goods, but it is when the choice of goods is not available.

Regardless, I would rather opt-out of eating animal products altogether, although not entirely possible at this time, I hope to do so in the near future. My whole family seems to follow these same principles and with a properly regimented diet and proper exercise we're a healthy bunch. So you may be asking yourselves, how does one do this? Well I'm glad you asked, because it's just too simple. The first step is to unlearn what you know about nutrition because it's false, there are many websites dedicated to this so I'll start you off with something simple and you may later find other sources on how to incorporate this into your lifestyle.

Research has shown that milk, although rich in calcium, is leaching the calcium from the bones of healthy adults, the lactose in-particular.  It's said that the consumption of calcium gives your body the nutrition to build strong bones and the FDA approved method is through the consumption of dairy. Unfortunately, this is purely false, mountains of research has proven the exact opposite. Western society is riddled with obesity, osteoporosis and poor digestion, researchers from many sources are pointing at our high consumption of fats in animal products and dairy. This brings up another very hot topic and that's soy.

Since we are hard-wired to believe that every meal involves cheese and/or milk, when we're told to limit this we look to replace it by turning to soy products. There are so many soy products now that it's preposterous , but the best to consume if at all are those fermented, such as tofu or tempeh. The reason I mention this is because of the soy protein isolate craze, what isn't it in these days? But do we need to supplement our diet in  the absence of dairy anyway? The answer is no, these are just additional calories we consume every day. But we all know that it's impossible to cut-out dairy completely unless we want to live in a bubble for the rest of our lives, so lets be reasonable.

Reasonably speaking, we simply want to minimize our exposure to dairy and soy products, to include those wonderful salad dressings and protein shakes. You'll also find that once these products have been excluded or limited for a time, when they are put back into the body, they're rejected. This is not uncommon, milk is intended for the off-spring of the animal. If any dairy product is consumed, the most nutritious and beneficial is cheese. If you're trying to keep the figure, multiple kinds of real, aged, low-fat cheeses exist, an example is the Babybel Lights rounds in wax.

Another thing I'd like to share with everyone about whey and how it affects the body. A movie was released with the Doctor that researched something called the China study. Tests were done on mice to prove whether animal product causes the growth of cancerous tumors in the body. Their tests proved that the whey did indeed cause the mice to form cancerous tumors. But the test has major flaws considering their diet consisted of only whey. Whey contains no nutritious value, so of course there were complications in health, it is a derivative of milk, only the protein to be exact. Whey is also present in cottage cheese, it's what is left after curdling. Whey is a supplement to the overall diet, not a diet in itself. To conclude that all animal protein causes cancerous tumors based on a test with only whey, is a very poor assumption indeed.

Another portion of the movie discusses the affects whey has on the kidneys, stating that many professional body builders are on dialysis. While I want to believe all of it, it's just plain nonsense, too many people in the world suffer from dialysis, and the same goes for cancerous tumors and neither have never seen whey protein. If we were to completely push the western world away and live like those in the east, we would suffer from different problems, but not eliminate them entirely. In eastern culture colon cancer is a commonality in their over-consumption of vinegar substances, while there are less obese individuals in their stead, without western medicine many of them would have been wiped away by viral infection and disease.

There's no one way to win, just know that there must be balance in life and moderation in all things we do. Such is yin and yang or the ebb and flow of the ocean, it must be a continuous cycle. No one is perfect, but will remain happy and feel healthy, so long as they know who they are and can prevent their life from reaching extremes. Food isn't about food at all, it's about life, let it run through your veins, feel its energy enter your body and fill you with the nutrients to live and be the prosperous being you intend to be.

Bullying

Are we putting labels on our children and limiting their potential? Possibly, according to Susan Porter a Middle School teacher that discusses bullying and how the simple label is hurting them in her book, Bully Nation. She discussed with Reason TV the laws being put in place to criminalize bullying and while I'm not an advocate of bullying, I have to agree with her. Labeling children will limit their potential, it's the last thing anyone wants is to be categorized, live free or die, right?

For one that has experience with a child, I know that if I told my son he was a Pirate, he would act as a Pirate waving something around like it was a sword. He'd talk of "getting" the bad guys, I don't allow words like killing in my home, and he'd talk with that all too familiar Pirate accent. It's fun to watch as he enjoys his care free world and imagination. But what if I told him he was a bully and nothing more, whether he really was or not. It's understood throughout "school land" that bullies are bad and children should not be bullies. Imagine that he heard it every day, now I've labelled him, so whether he wants to do the right thing or not, he's already the bad guy.

If you think your child is a bully and you think it's funny then you need to see a shrink, if you're frightened that he's a bully then you need to grow-up, but overall you might want to reconsider what you think of your child. Use reward to enforce good behavior and discipline the bad. So what about those that are not bullies, which is what the whole concern is about anyhow, because you might say that not too many think their kid is a bully.

A child does many things and they have a positive outlook on all they do in life. What were to happen if I called the child a victim of bullying? Yes of course, we're all victims of one thing or another, but what does that do but label or categorize them. It's more of a target, we're not helping them at all, we make them weak by placing them in a bubble and telling them to forget what happened and dispose of their emotions.

I can say that I was bullied in school, but I found my own way to deal with it, I was also never singled out and felt sorry for my being a victim. Of course the bully was never disciplined and it made me hate school, but I still went to college later in life.

What's the problem, really? We need to let our kids be themselves, they have never changed, they are fun-loving, excited about life and the most important part, free. There is no worry whether the bills will be paid or the impending wars here and there. It's the only time in life that they get to experience this form of freedom. Yes they are naive, but why shouldn't they be? One thing we shouldn't be doing is placing them in a box before they know who they really are. Let them live and be who they want to be, not who you tell them they are.

Ignorance

I've been out of the country for a few years and I feel that I've entered a new world when I returned to the States. Everywhere I look people are using some form of electronic device playing games, browsing the internet or chatting with friends. Is it like this everywhere? If so, do we not see the problem here?

I've gone out to eat multiple times with my family and I can't help but notice the couples aren't paying each other any attention. Throughout an entire meal these individuals will gaze through an electronic screen and hardly say a word to each other. Of course it's not just people dating, it's husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters and so on. I don't understand this and can't wrap my head around it, I initially blame ignorance, but what is it really?

Is ignorance really bliss when it warrants no satisfaction? How can I be satisfied by the absence of something? It's the knowing of not knowing, or the closure of unopened doors. How do I know what I don't know? Not many of us have a deep level of understanding on these matters, which is why ignorance is so important to be aware of. I hate to use these references, but in Buddhism the number one teaching is awareness. Becoming aware of suffering and that it will always exist, that much I know, but what I do not is their reason for causing such self-suffrage, when a conscious act of ignorance is played.

Why would anyone cause themselves to suffer unless it was their unwilling intent to do so? I don't think apathy is on it's way, it's already past and I fear we've already stepped through dependency quite quickly, unfortunately we see the next step in the cycle of civilization. Is it preventable? History says that it's inevitable, no matter how large the nation was, there was always an inside source to bring it to its knees. It's a matter of finding the country in the Liberty stages of the cycle, because if everything were true, it would require moving from one location to another, avoiding the cycle entirely, where prediction would be the conundrum.

Current Workouts

I had posted a workout routine which was a hybrid P90X and don't get me wrong the program works. But the program only seems most effective when you've just started to workout, either for the first time or when you're getting back into it, and it's what got me back in. I also was unable to get the size I was looking for, too many reps or something. I had later made a hybrid of it and kept with it, but never really got anywhere. I'm not sure if I had been relying on reps too much, but I believe that was the problem.

When I was in High School I read a lot of health magazines and body building articles and stuck to a strict five sets of seven with about six to ten workouts per session, where I was in the gym for about an hour and a half. It worked during that time frame but I had reached a plateau, much as I did with P90X where I was stuck, call it muscle confusion all you want, I got stuck. I started looking around for different things and reading up on muscle growth and how it actually works.

After educating myself I came to the conclusion that I was overworking my muscles and needed to separate my workouts and lift heavier. My new methodology follows that of the Dorian Yates and Metzner outlook on muscle fatigue and rebuild. While I'd put my regimen on here, it's available at BodyBuilding.com and you can explore Yate's Blood and Guts and find for yourself if it's right for you.

I've gained considerable amount of strength with a maximum of 45 minutes in the gym. Don't lose faith in yourselves because something doesn't work right away. Just remember that sore muscles are repairing and should be allowed to repair, no reason to tear a muscle that is already torn. Other than that, keep at it and you should meet your goals.

Loss of Liberty

There are talks all over the place of a New World Order and the destruction of the limited liberties we still possess, and while some states are fighting valiantly to save freedom everywhere possible, it seems a lost cause. First we were confronted with notions of a co-existing tolerant society where people of completely different backgrounds could exist and function in harmony. This has become more of a hoax in past years than it has been before. Because of the politics involved in our rights, we're constantly reminded what it means to be who we were and not who we are. When Dr. Seuss said to be who you are, he meant are, not were. Why do we live in the past and future and never the present?

This common question boggles so many people's minds across the ages, but the simple answer is we're told not to. If you were to live for today everyday, there would be nothing else to live for, all would be over in that moment. Many are benefiting from a life of living in the moment as governments all over the world are possessing our things and calling them rightfully theirs. Well I'm not surprised to say the least, but I am interested to know how long they've been doing it. One hundred years perhaps? Two hundred years? Is there some type of heir we're not aware of, heir to the throne of the world? Where is the iron that they'd sit upon?

Too long ago countries bound by Christianity were abstained from handling financial affairs and so the Judaic world was the first to create such a concept. A lot of credit could be warranted, although it has always been monopolistic and over the thousands of years it still has not changed, money has been the ruler of the world. This can't change unless a worldly shift and ideal about wealth is made, and at this time there are folks everywhere hoping for a change for good. I'm sorry but the truth is, the only way any change would occur is through pain and suffering and most of us do not want that. If no change occurred it would remain the same as it has always been, work for money, pay for goods. The system works if we allow it to do so.

The freedom of market is not some cumbersome monster that no one understands, it's extremely simple and requires zero insight. Since I've led us down a path that seems completely off subject, Let me explain how this is linked to our liberties. Money is an intermediary to our goods, much like the politicians are to laws. In more simple terms money buys laws. Politicians are all publicly known and can easily be accessed through multiple forms of communication. One thing comes to mind, we want freedom and we want government programs, unfortunately one can't exist with the other. Government programs require oversight, which sounds good, but the sad part is government programs are typically degraded in quality as they're not required to maintain any level of productivity. This is the only organization of any kind that doesn't rely on profit margins, competency or ethics.

There are recent talks about losing guns, flying drones to spy on you, reading your e-mails, tapping phones, taking your IRAs, taxing you more and losing private medical care. We asked for it, what more do you want, now you have complete safety, from yourself! Be careful, because you may end up in jail for committing suicide.

PETA and Drones

The People for Ethical Treatment of Animals or PETA has called for the deployment of drones to catch hunters, article. While their intentions may be good, how far are they willing to go to catch the "hunters" in question? If they can't be found through normal means, would they invade my home to find these "hunters" or so they're calling them? At this point when is being a vigilante (those that don't work for law enforcement but do the dirty work to hand-over the perpetrator) legal? It's called obstruction of justice if it's at all logical, but what am I saying, why would it be logical? This is all entirely subjective, but there are multiple solutions. Developing some sort of paperwork to explicitly state what they can and cannot do with the drones, given there are very steep measures when they are violated. Strictly prohibit the use of drones within residential air space and/or the movement in or around those areas.

PETA has long been an advocate of the free animal and the good treatment of those animals wild or domesticated. They've become quite a large animal themselves, their many advertisements, political activists and high paid celebrity campaigns. I've always been keen on their activities and positive on their outcomes, but as of late they seem to hold the animals higher than their contributors and sponsors. What would we do without PETA? We have the Humane Societies throughout the globe and they take a much lesser aggressive approach to animal cruelty. If PETA really wanted to reverse the cruelty paid to animals, they need to educate people not belittle them and hold protests against law, it's heartless and irrelevant. How do they not know this already?

PETA fights a completely different battle like most organizations we apply bandages to stop the bleeding instead of mending the wound. The root of the problem is not the government or whatever organization conspires to animal cruelty, it's their mentality toward livestock and animals alike. How the drones are going to solve this only PETA could know, but whatever spin they plan to put on it is only going to anger PETA followers with a free mind, like myself.

On that same note, drones are popping up all over the place in different states and unlikely cities. Law enforcement is finding their decreased prices and increased investigative capacity to be quite enticing during these "troubling" times. Apparently, according to their own reports, there is more crime than there has ever been, it's just plain lies. They want to deploy drones to catch kidnappers in particular, while I applaud them, I'm also disgusted. If there are no leads, will they spy on every home in the city until the person is found? There are already street cameras everywhere, GPS on every device and satellite shots of my home, now you want maneuverability to watch inside my home? When will it stop? Never, but I will say this, they went through the proper means to procure and operate the drones, all while knowing that it would soon be public knowledge.

Breakfast

I've been experimenting with breakfast, and what I mean by that is the composition of the meal. I found that a small balanced breakfast not only curbs the body and increases my willpower for certain foods throughout the day, but it gives me great energy. I've recently been given little choice about my food preferences and had to mold my diet around it, I had previously had muesli and greek yogurt with coffee every morning without fail. I am now consuming sugar filled oatmeal with regular American style sugar yogurt and coffee flavored water. This is working at it's best every morning, I'll explain how I came to that conclusion.

I started by eating the usual breakfast food with rolls and whatever bread items to avoid the eggs and sausages, I'd have a yogurt here and there, but I couldn't stomach the high contents of sugar, so I'd been avoiding it. I rediscovered eggs and decided that was the way to go while my choices were limited, I stuck by them for a month or so until I got really bad stomach aches for a couple days and found it was the eggs. Basically what I did from there led me to my current morning diet.

I ate singular items, eggs, yogurt, breads, rice, fish or beans to find what was causing my aches, pains or cravings throughout the day. I've found that the fish and eggs were the cause of all my problems; I narrowed it down to oatmeal when available or toast with peanut butter on it, I try to avoid the peanut butter toast because I eat that all day. I will also try to get the regular yogurts and when not available I have no substitute, so hopefully they didn't run out. The coffee water is always there, it's a staple so it would seem, quite sad actually.

So I've been able to build up a tolerance to all the sugar in the foods from what appears to be ConAgra, so exciting, and have finally stopped shitting my brains out. I do the best I can to consume wholesome foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables when they're available, but that's once per week at the most. The bulk of foods are frozen and/or canned, my diet is heavy on the bread and peanut butter side. I build up my own stock of dry goods whenever possible, hoping to add decent oats to my wares.

It's hard to describe the level of convenience and variety we take for granted every day, just know that people around the world, Americans included, don't have that same luxury. If you would ever have the heart, keep them in your mind.

Cuba, North Korea and Communism

The US and Cuba have been at each others' necks for far too long, the animosity started when Fidel Castro took power, the Cuban Missile Crisis and Che Guevara spread his powerful belief in what he viewed as a perfect system. Since that time Cuba has been nothing but cooperative with the US and their allies. We don't find them participating in the the worldly issues that involve political and war conflict, but the US Government still shuns their leaders and refuses to open ourselves to them.

A recent article about Beyoncé and Jay-Z going to Cuba on people-to-people licenses got a lot of attention. Is it such a sin to go to Cuba? It's a beautiful place and there are plenty of hospitable areas to roam around. Better yet, one would be supporting a nation in need of economic stimulus. I believe that the Cubans need more leg room than they're given.

The Cuban leader Fidel pleads with North Korea in this article to refrain from nuclear entanglements, saying that it would affect them as much or more than it may affect the nation they declared on. This would also contribute greatly to an already deteriorating trust with other allied nations. I find this interesting as the talk heats up about North Korea as they become anxious about the realization of their threats. In this article it discusses how China has severed ties with North Korea as they are not willing to sacrifice everything they've achieved.

It's interesting to hear that Cuba would discuss North Korea's bad move, because their ideals are similar. There are few that agree with the Communist ideals, China and Russia have long abandoned them. Not many nations still believe that it's the perfect system. When considered, Communism looks like the true Utopia, everyone is equal, no corruption abound, everything is everyone's. There's one problem, it has one error and that is human nature, power breeds corruption. You'd think it would be considered before implementation, but when you were ruling a nation hundreds of yeas ago, things just were; philosophers and scientists had previously decided to label and name government systems, but most was lost to the dark ages.

Communism is a dying system as the worldly nations discover it's primary flaw, the tyranny, with the discovery wars ensue and new systems emerge; transforming into one that works for their culture, China is a great example of that. Through a hundred years of constant rebellion against the monarchies and authoritarian governments, China finally established a republic. Nothing like that of the Western world, but it was never intended to be and they still believe in the ideals of the collective.

Why Politics isn't Working

We've been going around in circles for at least the past ten years, I'm unable to determine whether it occurred further in our past, but I'm being positive about it. We continue to blame our president and the administration for the negative outcomes of our due process. There are three sections of government, to truly understand why things occur in government you must understand how those work. Furthermore, an educated or valued opinion of any manner would require your experience in that matter, simple actually. What must be done? Are we to completely change our outlook on how we perceive reality?

To both of those questions we can say that the world does not change, it remains intact unless it is either intentionally or unintentionally changed. What does that mean? Well we have so many things that give us the current state of the world and how it's changed over the years. Not that I am an advocate, but a big motivator for change right now is global warming. People all over the world are attempting to minimize their "carbon footprint" on the world to prevent global warming from occurring. Of course this is just an example, but it's something that can't be proven, yet we follow it as though it were. I would also like to use another and it's all social programs, where we assume that every person should innately care for another, regardless of how they treat themselves. The exact reason why seat-belts and helmets were put into law, because we all pay for the negative side affects. So how do we deal with this?

Since I don't have all the answers I'll go in another direction and speak from fact. No matter who is "in charge" at the white house, things will happen the way they are intended, I'm also referring to their affiliated political party. It doesn't matter what the President believes in or what the First Lady thinks is the right thing to do, the people will continue to carry out their lives as they see fit. If you don't understand that, then you need to open your mind, laws do not govern you, you do; those laws are bent around the people's will. For example, many laws are in place that require police officers to arrest or impound vehicles after suspecting a DUI, yet there are cases where the driver is allowed to drive home after they've been pulled over and suspected of drinking. It's highly subjective on whether would be considered "justice" served. If the driver would have killed someone there would be maximum punishment, but did the driver have intent to kill considering he was drunk? Most certainly not, but he does impede on our rights when they subject that danger to everyone else. More or less, all laws are passed, vetoed, removed and enforced with subjective logic.

Since I've laid the ground-work, why doesn't politics work? Simply put, the politicians allow it to dis-function , because they all seem to have this notion that since they were voted into power the majority agrees with their every move. Moreover, the politician feels that they know what's right for the people, fortunately a republic does not work in this manner, kings were abolished for this very reason.

To sum it up I'd say that tyranny should not be tolerated, the day we invite austerity is the day we fall. Keep the nation pure and prosperous, not for the collective, but each individual person.
